Born in Houston, Texas, Mark moved to London with his family as a child and joined the Italia Conti Academy of Dramatic Arts Associate School where his training in acting, singing, dancing and music began.When not dancing, Mark focuses on his other passion—music.Maks: I've done quite a few things, and I always look back for some reason at the first time that Cheryl [Burke] and I danced. I think that stood out for me because it was the first ever results show solo number or something like that. Glamour: Who is the partner you talk to the most often? Every time I see Tia Carrera, it's like 10 years ago happened five minutes ago. I don't know if I do, but hopefully I just act a little wiser. It was quite significant, and it was the first time I didn't care about being judged. Mark: I mean, we were in Portland, Oregon yesterday and then we flew here overnight. Mark: Charmin invited us out here to be at this awesome event today–BC: It would be much more boring if we were by ourselves.
It's not a Tony-award-winning play, so we don't fall into that category, but we just want to have a blast and enjoy ourselves, and that's exactly what we're doing. She never really got to experience it, so I want her to experience everything from the rehearsal days to the show to after the show to the whole thing.I started playing guitar at age 9 and then I started getting really heavy into dance when I was about 12. BC, where does your love of music come from and when did you know you wanted to create music? Mark: It is really cool, because when I was on , I would walk through this area every day trying to find a clean bathroom. BC, would you ever consider being a contestant on Dancing with the Stars? BC: I have always loved music and I always would sing and it was always in me since I was very little. I would hide in my closet at night and write my emotions and cry and be romantic and then my poems became songs. We are kind of telling our stories but try to tell them in a non-selfish way so everyone can relate to them. So the fact Charmin has done this, it’s cleaned after every use, it’s like right here. It would be cool with her as Mary, me as Judas, it would be kind of interesting because we play against each other. If Val and Rumer win ] We'll accommodate anything Bruce wants. But our stuff is different because we introduced a different number in the 10th Anniversary and put together a little paso doble that we haven't done while we were competing on , so we have that, plus her and Amy. Maks: To be honest with you, it doesn't feel like anything because I live it every day like I never left.I put them into different parts of the show as well, but I don't want to reveal too much. My brother is there, my friends are there, people that are in my life are still on the show.
